I use a CBT-based, person-centered approach to treat a variety of mental health issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, relational struggles, parenting stressors, and identity confusion.

I approach this deeply meaningful work by engaging clients to increase awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors (which are, unwaveringly, connected to each other). Together, we utilize this insight to work toward their desired changes, increased fulfillment, and reduced suffering.

I have extensive training and experience in third-wave branches of CBT including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (“ACT,” a values-based treatment modality) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (“DBT,” a therapy focused on helping clients “build a life worth living” by building skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness). I am also trained and experienced in trauma work (specifically DBT-PE and CPT protocols).

I work with individuals (adolescents and adults), families, couples, and groups. My style blends science and creativity, drawing from my current commitment to evidence-based methods and my prior career as a theatre professional.

I earned my Psy.D. from Long Island University, C.W. Post, where I also served as an adjunct faculty member. My undergraduate degrees in Theatre and English are from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (Go Blue!). My research and writing is focused on the impact of intensive mothering ideology on maternal mental health.
